Ordained an Elder in the West Ohio Annual Conference in 1993, Rev. Dr. Todd D. Anderson is an inspirational and relational preacher and leader within the United Methodist Church. With more than 25 years of appointed leadership in the West Ohio Annual Conference, Anderson is currently Co-Senior Pastor of Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church in Cincinnati. Before moving into this appointment, Anderson served as Superintendent of the Ohio River Valley District, which serves United Methodist Churches in Butler, Warren, Clinton, Hamilton and Clermont counties in southwestern Ohio. Prior to his work as District Superintendent, Anderson served as pastor of the following congregations ā€“ Hilliard United Methodist Church (Senior Pastor, 2014-2016), Church of the Master United Methodist (Senior Pastor, 2007-2014), Defiance St. Paul United Methodist Church (Senior Pastor, 1999-2007), Columbus Trinity United Methodist Church (Associate Minister, 1996-1999), Linworth United Methodist Church (Associate Pastor, 1991-1996).

Todd has served as a strategic leader on multiple conference and district boards, including the Board of Ordained Ministry, Council on Finance and Administration, Conference Board of Pension and Health Benefits, Conference Relations, and as Conference Refugee Coordinator. He has served on multiple Committees on Ordained Ministry, Higher Education and Campus Ministry, and he was the dean, assistant dean and a study leader for Mission U (School of Christian Mission) in West Ohio.

Iā€™m passionate about worship, strategic planning and aligning vision and mission so that what we say and what we do are the same. I love working with people and believe that building caring relationships with others is vital for developing a stronger relationship with Jesus.

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Religion from Union College in 1988, Todd received a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology in 1991 and his Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary in 1997. From 2005-2007, he was the recipient of a Cousins Fellowship in Preaching at Emory University, which included extensive study of the Gospel of Mark in Israel-Palestine.

Todd is married to Patti, an insurance broker in Cincinnati. They love travel, read, garden and play golf.
